Measure, communicate, and eliminate the risk from vulnerabilities across the dynamic attack surface within a single platform
Infrastructure Security Bundle:
Find every asset and every risk factor in context
Detect the critical CVEs you’re missing today
Eliminate critical risk in a single platform
Discover every asset and quantify risk across vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and digital certificates—correlated with business criticality and 25+ sources of real-time threat intelligence.
Improve coverage with 100K+ identified CVEs and 190K+ detections along with industry-leading 98.7% coverage of CISA KEVs.
Ditch the siloed patch solution with tailored remediation plans, mitigations, and automated patching using the same Qualys agent you’ve already deployed for VM scans.
Close off critical business risk with unparalleled threat intelligence and TruRisk™ prioritization that you can actually trust.

Empower your team with risk-based vulnerability management that measures business risk in the universal language of TruRisk™.
VMDR stands for Vulnerability Management, Detection & Response. It’s Qualys’s flagship solution that combines continuous vulnerability scanning, threat detection, and incident response automation. VMDR identifies security weaknesses across your infrastructure, prioritizes them based on real-world exploitability, and guides remediation efforts.
VMDR uses TruRisk technology to analyze vulnerabilities in the context of your actual environment, threat intelligence, and attack paths. Rather than treating all vulnerabilities equally, it identifies which ones pose the greatest business risk based on factors like exploitability, asset criticality, and threat activity.
VMDR maps vulnerabilities to compliance frameworks (PCI-DSS, HIPAA, CIS, NIST, etc.) and generates compliance reports. It helps you demonstrate continuous security monitoring required by regulations and provides evidence of due diligence in vulnerability management.
Authenticated scans use valid credentials to access systems, providing deep visibility into system configurations, installed software, and security settings. Unauthenticated scans simulate external attacker perspective. Both are valuable—authenticated scans for comprehensive assessment, unauthenticated scans for external threat perspective.
Yes. VMDR includes integrated threat intelligence showing which vulnerabilities are actively being exploited, which threats target your industry, and which vulnerabilities appear in recent breaches. This helps prioritize remediation based on real-world threat activity.
